Share Jesus Without Fear
Share Jesus Without Fear is a simple, conversational approach to sharing the Gospel.
You don't need to have all the answersโjust ask questions, let them read Scripture aloud,
and ask "What does this say to you?" The Holy Spirit does the work through God's Word.
Your job is simply to be obedient and share.
Based on Share Jesus Without Fear by William Fay
5 Opening Questions
Do you have any kind of spiritual beliefs?
To you, who is Jesus Christ?
Do you believe in heaven or hell?
If you died right now, where would you go? If heaven, why?
If what you believe is not true, would you want to know?
7 Verses
Have them read each verse aloud, then ask: "What does this say to you?"
1. Romans 3:23 โ All have sinned
2. Romans 6:23 โ Wages of sin / Gift of God
3. John 3:3 โ Must be born again
4. John 14:6 โ Jesus is the only way
5. Romans 10:9-11 โ Confess and believe
6. 2 Corinthians 5:15 โ Live for Him
7. Revelation 3:20 โ Jesus knocks
5 Final Questions
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness of sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and heart?
The Prayer
If they answer yes to all five questions, lead them in this prayer:
"Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior."
If They Say Yes
Celebrate with them! They have just made the most important decision of their life.
Help them understand what happened and take these next steps:
Read the Bible daily โ Start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus.
Pray โ Talk to God daily. He wants to hear from you.
Find a Bible-believing church โ Connect with other believers who can encourage and teach you.
Tell someone โ Share your decision with a friend or family member.
Get baptized โ This is your public declaration of faith in Christ.
Stay connected with them! Offer to read the Bible together, invite them to church, and be available as they grow in their new faith.
If They Say No
You did not fail. Remember: they are not rejecting youโthey are rejecting Jesus and God's Word.
Therefore you did not fail in your obedience.
Research shows it takes an average of 7.6 times hearing the gospel before someone responds.
You never know if you're the first person to share, or if you're planting that 6th or 7th seed. Either way, you were faithful.
As Bill Fay says: "If you get a 'no' that sticks, it's not your problemโit's God's."
Simply ask: "Would it be okay if I prayed for you?" Most people will say yes. And keep loving themโyour relationship doesn't end here.
What does this say to you?
